MARTIN OF ALNWICK (d. 1336) Martin was a Franciscan and in 1311 took part at Avignon in the dispute between the conventual and spiritual Franciscans.. His works include a Universal History (now lost). He was an inmate of the famous Grey Friar's monastery in Newcastle, where he died.
